Adult Sunday School

Sunday School is offered during the school year, however the nursery (infant through 3 years old) continues during the summer months.

• Adult Spiritual Journey, 1st & 3rd Sunday's, 9:15-10:15 a.m.

• Adult Centering Prayer, Sunday's, 9:15-10:15 a.m.:

 

Spiritual Journey — Spiritual Journey members read a wide variety of books and discussing original short stories to grow and mature as Christians. Led  by Jeanie and Phil Beyer, many of the stories deal with true characters living on the fringes and what  they can teach us as Christians.  Newcomers are welcome.

Sunday Morning Bible Study — Led by Jason Johnston, Bible study based around the Lectionary readings. We discuss the scripture and how it applies to modern life, through building relation-ships with each other and our neighbors.

Centering Prayer offered every Sunday morning, 9:15 am, in Mercy Lounge, members practice contemplative prayer and form spiritual friendships.  Centering Prayer is ancient form of prayer which helps deepen our relationship with God through silence and quieting of the mind. The format is a brief welcoming time, twenty minutes of centering prayer, and a time for reflection on a brief portion of scripture. Child care, coordinated by Arlene Porta, is offered on Sunday mornings and for other events and services.
