Outreach Commission

 

The following ministries are vital support of our outreach:

 

Outreach  Deacon Jeanie Beyer

The Outreach Commission and its committees promote the ministries that reach out to our community and beyond. The ministry provides funding recommendations for the Vestry, and works on a variety of otherprojects such as cooking meals for the Chapel of the Resurrection students and Grace Mission activities.

Food Pantry   Wayne Makin & Stephen Moors Co-Chairs. Anne Womack, Volunteer Coordinator

This ministry works to feed the needy and hungry in our community. Volunteers may choose to help with distribution on Saturday from 9-11a.m. or with packing bags of food during the week. As a part of this ministry, the Street Corner Ministry packages and distributes food, water and toiletries to homeless or folks in transition. Stocked bags are in the Narthex. We encourage you to keep a few in your vehicle to give.

Cuba Ministry  Julie Sullivan

Through shared ministry and support, this ministry helps the Reverend Haydee Lugo, Rector of Saint Michael’s and All Angels in Ceballos, and the Reverend Yohanes Cobiellos at St. James the Apostle in the town of Baraguá, to further the Kingdom of God in Cuba.

 

Grace Mission  Nancy Daniels

This is an outreach ministry for those who are homeless and needy in our community. Opportunities to serve are: Sunday meals, children’s programs, Bible studies and many more. Collections are taken throughout the year for needed items. An Angel Tree is offered at Christmas for parishioners to help with gifts
