The following ministries are vital support of our involvement in the church community:

​

Hospitality  Joan Maddox

This ministry provides setup,decorations and food for celebrations, receptions and special events. Individuals from the ministry also set up Sunday morning refreshments on a rotating schedule. New volunteers are always welcome.

 

Men’s Cooking Crew  Wayne MakinTom Gray, Bobby Maddox

This ministry prepares Sunday morning Buck Breakfast the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, as well as meals for special events. New volunteers are always welcome. It’s the best breakfast in town... only $3 bucks!

 

Home Meals   Jan Calvin

This ministry is responsible for providing meals to parishioners who are ill or who are otherwise in need. The Take Them a Meal website is used for this ministry.

Bereavement   Eunice Filar

This ministry assists with funeral receptions held in the church’s parish hall. Volunteers will be called to serve as needed.

 

Supper Club Committee and ConvenersBrenda Poulos & Sharon Ingersoll, Co-chairs.

Supper Clubs are a delightful way to meet other people within the church (whether you are new or not-so-new). Groups of eight to twelve rotate the meals within the group in each others’ homes for a potluck meal and fellowship. Feel free to invite people outside the church to join you, there is always room at the tables for a few more!

 

Book Club  Nancy Mazek

All readers welcome! The Book Club meets on the 2nd Sunday at 5 pm to discuss a book chosen by the group. Good fellowship, lively conversation and inspirational topics are enjoyed by all.

 

Women’s MinistryMary Nielsen

The Women’s Ministry at Holy Comforter is designed to offer the women of our church opportunities to study the word, support each other, and serve others!

 

The Lunch Bunch. Katie Simmons

Join your Holy Comforter friends for lunch at the Lively Café at St. John’s Episcopal Church on the 2nd Friday of each month at 12:15 pm for sharing support, inspiration, and fellowship with one another.
